Ward off evil with this hand carved wooden mask of a Nepali 'Rakchas' which loosely means demon in English. Traditionally used during festivals, by dancers who become the incarnation of the Rakchas by way of elaborate rituals.
In the ancient tradition these Rakchas masks are believed to ward off evils and disease as well as protect the community.
